Ans :- Birsa movement aimed at restoring the cultural of the tribals which was affected by the colonical policies. He wanted to drive out the movement missionaries, moneylenders, etc.
2. What happened to Jhum cultiators during the colonial period?
Ans :- Forest Laws and Their Impact
As a result, several jhum cultivators moved away to other areas and lifestyles. Colonial officials decided to give jhum cultivators small patches of land in the forests to cultivate, on the condition that they would have to provide labour to the Forest Department.
