b) wavelength=4m

Explanation:

Amplitude is max displacement of particle

so Amplitude is 1.5 m

no In Q it is given that total time taken by the particle from from A to G which involve 3 cycle(Crest and trough) is 2 sec

so 3 cycle= 2 sec

then 1 cycle=2/3 sec

so Time period is 2/3 sec

.and we know that time period is inverse of frequency so Frequency is 3/2 i.e 1.5 Hz

Now speed=distance/time

so total distance is 12 m and time taken is 2 sec then speed is 6 m/s

now Velocity=frequency× wavelength..

so wavelength=velocity/frequency

=6×2/3=4 m
