Given :-

  • Quadratic polynomial ; + 3x + k.
  • One zero of quadratic polynomial is 2.

To Find :-

  • Value of k.

Solution :-

Let the given quadratic polynomial be ;

f(x) = + 3x + k

Given, One zero of quadratic polynomial is 2.

f(2) = 0

Put x = 2 in f(x) , We get ;

\implies f(2) = 2² + 3(2) + k

[ °.° f(2) = 0 ]

\implies 0 = 4 + 6 + k

\implies 0 = 10 + k

\implies k = -10 \red\bigstar

Hence,

  • The value of k is -10.
