1) bird does not get shock becoz it sits on the netral wire .

If it sits on the earthed wire then it will get a shock.

Also we must know that body of all living beings is a conductor not an insulator.

Again if the bird sits on a incomplete circuit then it will get a shock probably becoz the circuit will get completed through the bird's body as the bird's body is a conductor and will help to complete the circuit and finally current will flow through it.
