1. It used to measure human body temperature. They contain mercury-in-glass thermometers. They are accurate and sensitive, having a narrow place where the mercury level rises very fast.
2.On May 14, 1796, Jenner took fluid from a cowpox blister and scratched it into the skin of James Phipps, an eight-year-old boy. A single blister rose up on the spot, but James soon recovered. On July 1, Jenner inoculated the boy again, this time with smallpox matter, and no disease developed. The vaccine was a success.

➡
Clinical thermometer is a thermometer used to measure human body temperature. This thermometer used to measure body temperature. So a clinical thermometer tells us the measure of body temperature.
The typical range of a sub-lingual thermometer for use in humans is from about 35 °C to 42 °C or 90 °F to 110 °F .

Edward Jenner was an English country doctor who introduced the vaccine for smallpox in 1796. In 1775 Jenner began to study the relationship between cowpox (a comparatively harmless disease) and the more dangerous and disfiguring smallpox.
At first , EdwardJenner took fluid from a cowpox blister and scratched it into the skin of James Phipps, an eight-year-old boy. A single blister rose up on the spot, but James soon recovered.Almost one month later , Jenner inoculated the boy again, this time with smallpox matter, and no disease developed.
Jenner discovered the first smallpox vaccine by inoculating James Phipps with cowpox, a virus similar to smallpox, to create immunity, unlike variolation, which used smallpox to create an immunity to itself.
