ACQUIRED TRAITS;
""A trait of an organism which is not inherited but develops response to the environment is called an acquired trait "".

The acquired traits organisms can be passed on to their future generations this is because the changes in the non reproductive body cells of an organism cannot be inherited by its of Springs .

For example:
If we breed a group of Mice and remove the tales of these mice by surgery the progeny would not have tailless nice because removal of the tail cannot change the genes of the germ cells of the mice and cannot direct evolution .
Thus it proves that change in non reproductive tissue cannot be passed to the DNA of the germ cell

INHERITED TRAITS;

""A rate of an organism which is caused by change in its genes is called an inherited trait ""

Inherited traits are the characters which we received from our parents in inherited traits can be passed on to the progeny of the organism because they have produced changes in the genes of the organism

For example:
in the population of red Beatles one variation of colour takes place during reproduction the change in the colour of the Beetle has been brought by change in the genes of reproductive cells the green colour of this Beetle is an inherited trait which had passed into next generation .
