1) What is census? How is it done?

The census literally means the enumeration or counting of human beings. In the modern period, it refers to the number of inhabitants of a village, city or country and the various facts related to it, like age, education, religion and other daily activities.

Census process needs to fill forms from every household for census. In this process, housing census is first. There are some general questions related to the house, household usage, availability of drinking water and toilets, electricity.

2) What is growth of population? How is it calculated?

Here, population growth is said to be the increase number of people in any area. The population of man is increasing every year at the rate of about 1.1%.

There is some formula for calculating population growth that is:-

P_t = P_0 + (N + I) - (M + E)

Where,

n = Natality

p = Population

m = Mortality

e = Emigration

P_t = Population density

P_0 = Initial population density
