miss sullivans full name was Anne Manefield Sullivan. She had been sent from the Perkins Institution in Boston to teach Helen who needed a competent teacher. Three months before Helm turned seven, Miss Sullivan entered her life_ She had brought a ray of hope for Helen. She taught her the word "d—o-.14 by writing it with her finger on Helen's hand an her a doll to play. Helen liked that finger-play and immediately imitated it. Then Miss Sullivan took her to the well and taught her the word 'water' by spelling it an. ht r hand while on the other hand, she let the cool water flow. It opened a new gate of education for Helen. She liked that game and learnt many words like pin, cup, mug, etc. Miss Sullivan taught her some verbs like sit; walk, etc., also then she made her learn words like mother, father, sister, etc.. In this way, her vocabulary kept on increasing under Miss Sullivan's expert guidance and finger-play.

Helm wrote that March 3, 1887 was the most important day of her life. It was the day when her teacher Anne Mansfield came to her. Dr Bell advised her father to contact Mr.Anagnos, Director of the Perkins Institute in Boston. He further advised him to ask Mr. Anagnos if he had a teacher to begin her education. Helen's father followed his advice and contacted Mr Anagnos who responded Within a week. He sent Miss. Sullivan there. Helen had a lot of expectations from this development in her life, She desperately needed someone to help her. She waited at the door She guessed from her mother's frantic movements that some thing unusual was about to happen, She had mixed feelings and emotions, She did not know what the future held for her, She was full of hope and expectations on that day. It was really the must important day in her life.

One day, he caught hold of one such book and started reading it. At 7:30 he took his book arid went to the loft to read it, He thought that he would be back by 8.30 arid no one would be able to know about it, But he got so engrossed in reading that book that he for pt the vine. His father came upstairs, found him reading the book and slapped him. That night Peter, didn't join them for dinner as he wanted to show his annoyance. It was enough to flare up Mt Van. Dart. He decided that he would stay up in the loft and go without dinner, Peter didn't apologize and went to the loft, The matter cleared after three days and both of them were friendly again.

According to Anne, she was handsome and clever and Anne admired her for this as she had a tolerant and shy mature, Unfortunately, Margot too died of typhus in the concentration camp a few days before Anne died.
