Horace Danby never expected that he could be befooled by a woman thief and that's what happened. She very cunningly made him believe that she was the owner of the house and had forgotten the numbers to open the safe. She bade Horace to open it otherwise she would get him arrested. Horace broke open the safe and gave her all the jewels who later got caught for the robbery.
.Mandela realized that his boyhood freedom was an illusion because when he was a child it was limited only till running near the fields, roam around mother's hut, freedom to swim in fresh and clear streams of water in village, roast mealies ( a south African maize plant) under the stars and to ride the broad backs of slow moving bull.
.when turned into a youth he discovered that his freedom had already been taken away from him
.as a student he wanted some transitory freedom for himself such as staying out at night read whatever he pleased and go where he chose.
.he then talks about certain "basic honorable freedoms " such as achieving his potential of earning, his living and marrying and having a family.
.he builds a contrast between the two freedoms by stating that the transitory freedom he wanted was limited to him whereas honorable freedoms had to do more with the country.
.this portrays that Mandela had strength of spirit ,integrity, honor and leadership qualities in him
