1.first 5 whole numbers are 0,1,2,3,4
mean = sum of observations/total no.of observations
mean=0+1+2+3+4/5
mean=10/5
mean=2
2.circumference of a circle is 2(22/7)r
where r= radius
given diameter =14
then radius =7
2(22/7)7
=44

Q1. Find the mean/average of the first five whole numbers.

Sol:- First 5 whole numbers = 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Average = total sum of all the numbers / number of items in the set

= (1+2+3+4+5)/(5) = 15/5 = 3.

∴, The mean of the first five numbers is 3.

Q2. Find the circumference of a circle whose diameter is 14 cm.

Sol:- Diameter = 14 cm

∴ Radius (r) = 14/2 = 7 cm

Circumference of circle = 2πr = 2 * 22/7 * 7 = 2 * 22 = 44 cm.

∴, The circumference of a circle having diameter 14 cm is 44 cm.
