2.Humans are a type of animal but the difference is that we can think in a much more complex way and we’ve built real and legitamite civilizations. Now here’s the actual words for what make us different. Plants are living beings who are non sentient which means they can’t move by themselves and aren’t aware of their existence. Animals are sentient which means they can move by themselves and are aware of their existence ( although some like jellyfish aren’t sentient). Then there’s humans, we may be a type of animal but we’ve gone beyond sentient. We’re what’s called sapient. So not only can we move by ourselves and are aware of our existence, but we are beyond that because we can also, like I mentioned before, think in a more complex way than regular animals and we are also civilized. So in other words we live in houses and use knives and forks when we eat instead being wild and eating completely with our hands. Hence the saying we’re not animals.
