Answer:

1--Electric circuit, path for transmitting electric current. An electric circuit includes a device that gives energy to the charged particles constituting the current, such as a battery or a generator; devices that use current, such as lamps, electric motors, or computers; and the connecting wires or transmission lines.

There are two basic types of electric circuits, called series and parallel circuits. They differ in the number of loops through which current can flow. You can see an example of each type of circuit in Figure below. A series circuit has only one loop through which current can flow.

2---Light bulbs have a very simple structure. At the base, they have two metal contacts, which connect to the ends of an electrical circuit. The metal contacts are attached to two stiff wires, which are attached to a thin metal filament. The filament sits in the middle of the bulb, held up by a glass mount.

3--A periscope works on the principle of reflection of light from one plane mirror placed at an angle(450) parallel to other plane mirror. Diagram shows the position of mirrors and light rays. ... Importance of periscope : Periscope is used by the submariners to view the objects at the surface of water.

4--Natural sources of light include the sun, stars, fire, and electricity in storms. ... Flashlights, table lamps, neon signs, and televisions are some sources of artificial light. Most of the lights that are man-made need an energy source, such as electricity or batteries, to produce light

5--Desert plants have developed three main adaptive strategies: succulence, drought tolerance and drought avoidance. Each of these is a different but effective suite of adaptations for prospering under conditions that would kill plants from other regions.

6--They have a sharp beak on their mouths that they use to break open shells. Squid have some unique adaptations. Some can change color, some use bioluminescence to create light, and some shoot ink to cloud the water and lose predators. ... Octopus have no shell at all, not even an inner one.

8--There are two main types of root systems. Dicots have a tap root system, while monocots have a fibrous root system, which is also known as an adventitious root system. A tap root system has a main root that grows down vertically, from which many smaller lateral roots arise.

9--If a magnet is exposed to high temperatures, the delicate balance between temperature and magnetic domains is destabilized. At around 80 °C, a magnet will lose its magnetism and it will become demagnetized permanently if exposed to this temperature for a period, or if heated above their Curie temperature.

10--Store magnets in closed containers so they don't attract metal debris. If several magnets are being stored, they should be stored in attracting positions. Because they can easily become demagnetized, alnico magnets should be stored with "keepers", iron or magnetic steel plates that connect the poles of the magnet.

Explanation:

1. Electric circuit, path for transmitting electric current. An electric circuit includes a device that gives energy to the charged particles constituting the current, such as a battery or a generator, devices that use current, such as lamps, electric motors or computers and the connecting wires or transmission lines.

There are two basic types of electric circuits, called series and parallel circuits :

2. Light bulbs have a very simple structure. At the base, they have two metal contacts, which connects to the end of an electrical circuit. The metal contacts are attached to two stiff wires, which are attached tto a thin metal filament sits in the middle of the bulb, held up by a glass mount.

3. A periscope works on the principal of reflection of light from one plane mirror placed at an angle parallel to other plane mirror.

4. A light source is anything that makes light, whether natural and artificial. Natural sources of light include the sun, stars, fire and electricity in storms. Flashlights, table lamps, neon signs and television are some sources of artificial light. Most of the lights that are man made need an energy source, such as electricity or batteries, to produce energy.

6. They have a sharp beak on their mouths that they use to break open shells. Squid have some unique adaptations. Some can change colour, some use bioluminescence to create light, and some shoot ink to cloud the water and lose predators.

7. Transpiration : Transpiration is a process of water movement through a plant and it's evaporation from ariel plants, such as leaves, stems and flowers. Water is necessary for plants but only a small amount of water taken up by the roots is used for growth and metabolism.

periodic motion : This a type of motion where the object repeats its motion after a fixed interval of time.

transparent object : Materials like air, water and clear glass are called transparent. When light encounters transparent materials, almost all of it passes directly through them.

oscillatory motion : Oscillatory motion is defined as the to and from motion of the body about its fixed position.
