(a) Triveni wrote in the Kannada language. Her style of writing was easy to read and convincing. Her stories were inspired from real life and were interesting. The readers can identify themselves with the characters in the stories as her stories are related to the lives of the ordinary people.
(b) The poet was spell-bound by the sweetness of the song of the Solitary Reaper. Though, he could not understand the language of the song, he stood there motionless and captivated enjoying the melodious song. It fascinated him so much that he carried its sweet melody in his mind for a long time.
(c) Hooper was a favoured young man who had everything in life-popularity, success and a respectable job. He was, once, a player of the university football team. He was the Zonal Sales Manager in a chemical company. He was very ambitious.
(d) Both Jeanne and Gaston are critical about each other and act according to their own will. Jeanne is very keen and eager to buy the villa. So she tries to persuade her husband, Gaston to buy it. But Gaston has appre ensions about buying the villa. So, he frankly tells her that he will not buy the villa because she wants to buy it for her parents.
