Bhangar-

*older alluvium

*found about 30m above sea level in river terraces.

*light grey in colour and calcareous clay.

*less fertile.(not replenished by flood and calcareous clay)

Khadar-

*newer alluvium

*Found in the deltas and in the lower beds of the plains through which river meanders.

*It is non-porous, clayey and loamy.

*It is replenished by flood thus more fertile.
