A hazard becomes disaster in the following way -

• From the definition of the hazard we came to know that the hazard is a threatening situation for the living or non-living beings of our environment.

• And,from the definition of the disaster we came to know that the disaster is complete disturbance in the normal lifestyle of the community of a large region.

• So,when the threat situation of the hazard becomes a reality and affects the community of a significant area, then the disaster takes place.

• In this way,the hazard and disaster are connected with each other.
