Thermal layers in ocean

Explanation:

Thermal layer defines the thin and distinct layer in a large body of fluid where temperature change rapidly with different layers.

The ocean contain 3 main layers, called the upper warm layer and bottom cold layer and between these 2 layers, there is another layer, called as thermocline layer which is warmer at the top than the bottom layer.

This is because of the sunlight which is penetrate into the upper surface of the water layer but it can't penetrate at the bottom layer and thus temperature is cool at that region.
