Plants and animals source their nutrients from the soil and it is home to many different forms of life.

- Rainfall and Flooding. Higher intensity of rainstorm is the main cause of soil erosion.
- Agriculture. The farming practices are the major cause of soil erosion.

After getting heated up, the water from these. bodies starts evaporating in the form of water vapours. into the atmosphere. As the vapours goes on rising, they keep on cooling. Due to the effect of cooling, water vapour gets condensed and forms clouds.
4. Dirty water containing chemicals is put back in the river. Water used for cooling is warmer than the river itself, and this is also a form of pollution. People are sometimes careless and throw rubbish such as bottles and crisp packets directly into rivers. Pollution kills water plants and animals.
