$(1)x + 5 = 9 \\ = > x = 9 - 5 \\ = > x = 4$
Check;-
$= > 4 + 5 = 9 \\ = > 9 = 9$
$(2)y - 12 = - 5 \\ = > y = - 5 + 12 \\ = > y = 7$
Check:-
$= > 7 - 12 = - 5 \\ = > - 5 = - 5$
$(3)3x + 4 = 19 \\ = > 3x = 19 - 4 \\ = > 3x = 15 \\ = > x = \frac{15}{3} \\ = > x = 5$
Check:-
$= > 15 + 4 = 19 \\ = > 19 = 19$
$(4)9x = 81 \\ = > x = \frac{81}{9} \\ = > x = 9$
Check:-
$= > 9 \times 9 = 81 \\ = > 81 = 81$
$(5)3x + 8 = 5x + 2 \\ = > 3x - 5x = 2 - 8 \\ = > - 2x = - 6 \\ = > x = 3$
Check:-
