Write the following equation in the form of ax² + bx + c = 0. then, write the value of a , b , c for each equation.

d) 7 - 9x - 2x² = 0.

Solution :

$\tt\dagger \: \: \: \: \: 7 - 9x - 2 {x}^{2} = 0.$

$\tt : \implies - 2 {x}^{2} - 9x + 7= 0.$

$\tt : \implies 2 {x}^{2} + 9x - 7= 0.$

Compare with General Equation.

$\tt \dagger \: \: \: \: \: a {x}^{2} +b x + c= 0.$

$\tt \dagger \: \: \: \: \: \red{a \neq 0.}$

Where as,

• a = 2.
• b = 9.
• c = - 7.

Therefore, the value of a = 2, b = 9 and c = - 7.
