(a) Which compound is efflorescent?

Answer -  Sodium carbonate(Na2CO3). 10-H2O.

(b) Which compound is blue in colour?

Answer - Copper sulphate(CuSO4). 5H2O.

(c) Which compound is deliquescent?

Answer - Anhydrous calcium chloride.

(d) What would be seen on mixing a solution of Calcium chloride with a solution of sodium carbonate?

Answer - A white precipitate of calcium carbonate is seen.

(e) Write the balanced equation for occurring when a solution of calcium chloride is mixed with a  solution of sodium carbonate.

Answer - CaCl2(aq.) + Na2CO3 (aq.) —> CaCO3 (White ppt) + 2NaCl (aq.)
