- 1.Women were a major part of several reform movements of the 1800s and early 1900s. These reform movements sought to promote basic changes in American society, including the abolition of slavery, education reform, prison reform, women's rights, and temperance (opposition to alcohol).
- 2.The main effect of the introduction of railways have on caste system is that earlier people were more intense over the caste system and hence had many inequalities and as Railway was introduced people were used to travel with other people despite knowing caste and this led to reduction in untouchability.
