Chlorophyll is found in virtually all photosynthetic organisms, including green plants, cyanobacteria, and algae. It absorbs energy from light; this energy is then used to convert carbon dioxide to carbohydrates. Chlorophyll is a pigment found in green plants.

All the plants don't have chlorophyll that's why the leaves of some plants appear red , yellow or brownish in color which is due to lack of chlorophyll
