1. Your garden is in the shape of a square of side 5m. Each side is to be fenced with 2 rows of wire. Find how much amount is needed to fence the garden at rupees 10 per metre.
2. The length of a rectangle is three times it's breadth. If it's perimeter is 64cm, find the sides of the rectangle.​

1) Length of the side of a square =5 m

Perimeter of the square =4× length of the side

=4×5

=20 m

Each side is to be fenced 2 rows of wire ,

Therefore , total perimeter of the garden and wire will be 20×2 =40 cm

cost of fencing per meter =10

Total cost of fencing =10×40

=R.s.400

2) Let the breadth be X

Length of the rectangle=3x

Perimeter of the rectangle=64

2(l+b)=64

2(3x+X)=64

2(4x)=64

8x=64

X=64/8

X=8

Therefore the length is 24 cm and breadth is 8 cm.
