The answer is 21 degrees

To find -

First here l || m and p is transversal

Here interior angles are same side for this given transversal

From here sum starts

so (3x + 20) + (5x - 8 ) = 180 degrees

3x + 20 + 5x - 8 = 180

8x = 180 - 12

8x = 168

x =  \frac{168}{8}  = 21

x = 21

Some extra info -

What is interior angle -

The angle between adjacent sides of a rectilinear diagram.

To find exterior angle the formula is used is = 180 - interior angle

\tt\underline\pink{Given:}

l || m.

p is transversal

&

y =>3x+20°(

(adjacent interior angles are equal.)

\tt\underline\pink{To\:find:}

value of x=?

\huge\tt\underline\orange{Solution:}

y+5x-8°=180 ( using angle sum property)

Since, y= 3x+20°

3x+20°+5x-8°=180°

8x+12°=180°

8x=180°-12°

x=168°/8

x=>21°

Hence, the value of x is 21°.
