Let the 3 consecutive integers be x,x+1 and x+2
A.t.Q.

x+x+1+x+2=x+5
3x+3 = x+5
3x-x=5-3
2x=2
x=1
So consecutive integers are1,2 and 3

hope this will help you

1)Let the three consecutive integers be x, x+1 and x+2
so x+x+1+x+2=x+5
3x+3=x+5
3x=x+5-3=x+2
3x-x=x+2-x
so 2x=2
thus x=1
so the integers are 1, 2 and 3
2)Perimeter of the rectangle=40 m
let the breadth be x
so the length will be 5x-4
the formula of perimeter of rectangle is 2(l+b)
so 2(5x-4+x)=40
2(6x-4)=40
12x-8=40
12x=40+8=48
x=48/12=4
so the breadth is 4 m
 and th length is 5(4)-4=16 m
