Mean = Sum of observations/Total number of observations

         = 36/8

         = 4.5


(ii)

Here,total number observations n = 8{Even}

We know that when n is even then mean of middle two numbers is Median.

⇒ Median = Value of (n/2)th observation + Value of (n/2 + 1)th observation/2

                 = (8/2) + (8/2 + 1)/2

                 = (4 + 5)th observation/2

                 = (2 + 7)/2

                 = 9/2

                 = 4.5



(iii)

Mode is the observation that occurs most frequently in that data.

For the data set 2,2,2,2,7,7,7,7 the mode is 2 and 7.



Therefore,

⇒ Mean = 4.5

⇒ Median = 4.5

⇒ Mode = 2 and 7.
