The given balanced chemical equation is
2x + 3y ---------> 4l + m
Also, number of moles of 'x' = 8
number of moles of 'y' = 15
2 moles of 'x' reacts with 3 moles of 'y' to give 4 moles of 'l' and 1 mole of 'm'.
So, 8 moles of 'x' reacts with 12 moles of 'y' to give 16 moles of 'l' and 4 moles of 'm'.
Hence 3 moles of 'y' is left behind and it becomes the Excess reagent.
(i) Thus, 'x' is the limiting reagent, as it reacts completely.
(ii) After the reaction, we find that 16 moles of 'l' is formed and 4 moles of 'm' is formed.
(iii) Here, 'y' is the Excess reagent and 3 moles of it is left behind.
Hope it helps!!
