Solution:
Let the initial velocity of bass when projected is u
then componentnt of velocity in x direction = u cos x [x is the angle of projection]
NOW, it is given that ball collide perpendicular to wall. it means ball is at his maximum height.
we know that, at maximum height only x component of velocity work.
Thus, at a time of collison the velocity of ball is u cosx .
Here, it is also given that, ball has come bas to orignal position .
thus, velocity of ball after collision is also same , which is u cosx
Now,cofficient of restitution = u cos x / u cos x
=> k/4 = u cosx/ u cosx
=> k = 4
