Given Eqn. :- px² -2√5 px + 15 = 0
Here,
a = p , b = -2√5 , c = 15
→ For Equal roots :-
D = 0
b² - 4ac = 0
( -2√5 p )² - 4 × p × 15 = 0
20p² - 60p = 0
20p (p - 3)= 0
Therefore,
20p = 0 or ( p - 3 ) = 0
p = 0 or p = 3
Hence, The required answer is :- p = 0 or p = 3
