Total surface area (T.S.A) = πrl+πr²

diameter => 24

radius. 24/2=>12.

Total Surface area of cone= π (12)(21)+π(12)²

=>π(252)+π(144)

=>396π (use 3.14 for π)

=>396x3.14

=>1243.44 is answer.

✏ Question :-

Find the total surface area of a cone , if its slant height is 21 cm and the diameter of its base is 24cm.

✏ Given :-

Slant height ( L ) = 21 cm

diameter of base of cone ( d) = 24 cm

Radius of base of the cone (r) = 24/2 = 12 cm.

To find :-

Total surface area of a cone = ?

Formula used :-

___________________

Total surface area ( TSA) = πrL + πr² sq.units

___________________

Solution :-

Total surface area ( TSA) = πrL + πr² sq.units

Here r = 12 cm and L = 21 cm

By substituting the terms we get ;

TSA = π (12)(21) + π(12)²

=> TSA =( 252 + 144 ) π

=> TSA = 396 π cm² (or) 396π sq.cm

Therefore the total surface area of cone is 396π sq.cm
