T= 2 years

S. I.=

 \frac{p  \times \: r   \times \: t}{100}

 \frac{400 \times 5 \times 2}{100}

4  \times 5 \times 2

= 40

Rs. 40 = Ans

Amount= P - S.I.

400-40 = 360

= Rs. 360= Ans

b) P= Rs.1200

R= 6% p.a.

T= 3 years

S. I.=

 \frac{p \times \: r  \times  t}{100}

 \frac{1200 \times 6 \times 3}{100}

12×6×3
