Answer:

Nice Question Ans is 2usinα/g

Explanation:

(s) in x direction s = ucosα t

(s) in y direction s = usinα t - 1/2 gt²

Time to reach highest point is half of time of flight (T) = 2usinα/g

But time for half of the path = usinα/g

Also at highest point velocity in y direction is zero.

As there is no external force acting in x-direction momentum shall be conserved. Since initial momentum in x-direction is zero because of the opp velocity vectors with identical angle Final velocity of total body in y Direction is zero.

Now it follows freely falling motion.

Since the vertical height is (S) = usinα(usina/g) - 1/2g(usinα/g)

                                                  = u²sin²α/2g

Then applying kinematics equation (since force acting on body is const)

(s)y = ut + 1/2gt²

(u=0)

u²sin²α/2g = 1/2gt²

t = usinα/g

Hence Total time taken is T = 2usinα/g
