Step-by-step explanation:

m^2=cos^2x/cos^2y

n^2= cos^2x/sin^2y

(m^2+n^2)cos^2y

=(cos^2x/cos^2y+cos^2x/sin^2y)cos^2y

=(cos^2xsin^2y+cos^2xcos^2y)/cos^2ysin^y ×cos^y

=cos^2x(1)/sin^2y

=n^2

taking a=alpha and b=beta

m^2=cos^2a/cos^2b

n^2=cos^2a/sin^2b

add both

m^2+n^2=(2cos^4a)/sin^2acos^2b...I)

also,

also

cos^b=cos^2a/m^2....ii)

multiply both eqaution

we get

cos^a/cos^b

which is equal to n^2
