Let the fourth proportional is x
so
13/3 : 39/4 = 17/2 : x
 \frac{13}{3}  \times x =  \frac{17}{2}  \times  \frac{39}{4}  \\ x =  \frac{17 \times 39 \times 3}{2 \times 4 \times 13}  \\ x =  \frac{17 \times 3 \times 3}{2 \times 4}  \\ x =  \frac{153}{8}
Therefore the fourth proportional is
  = \frac{153}{8}  \\
