therefore v = 0
and t = 8 s
Applying the relation v = u + at
we get ,
0 = 24 + a*8
or -24 = 8a
or -24/8 = a
or a = -3
therefore acceleration = -3 m/s^2
or RETARDATION = 3 m/s^2(ans)
