Let one positive number be 4M and other positive number be 5M.

Sum of two positive numbers is 99.

→ 4M + 5M = 99 _____ (eq 1)

→ 9M = 99

→ M = 11

So,

One number :-

→ 4M

→ 4(11)

→ 44

Other number :-

→ 5M

→ 5(11)

→ 55

\underline{\bold{Numbers\:are\:44\:and\:55}}

☆ Verification :

From above calculations we have M = 11

Put value of M in (eq 1)

→ 4(11) + 5(11) = 99

→ 44 + 55 = 99

→ 99 = 99

____________________

Product of two numbers is 1280.

→ 4M × 5M = 1280 ______ (eq 2)

→ 20M² = 1280

→ M² = 64

→ M = 8

So,

One number :-

→ 4M

→ 4(8)

→ 32

Other number :-

→ 5M

→ 5(8)

→ 40

\underline{\bold{Numbers\:are\:32\:and\:40}}

☆ Verification :

From above calculations we have M = 8

Put value of M in (eq 2)

→ 4(8) × 5(8) = 1280

→ 32 × 40 = 1280

→ 1280 = 1280
