percentage dissociation is same then degree of dissociation a(alpha) must be equal.

a(CH3COOH) = a(HCOOH)

let C be the concentration of both

in such cases a(k)= under root Ka(K) / c(k)

so back to work

\sqrt{Ka(CH3COOH) / C(CH3COOH)} = \sqrt{Ka(HCOOH) / C(HCOOH)}

Ka(CH3COOH) / C(CH3COOH)} = Ka(HCOOH) / C(HCOOH)

1.8 * 10^-5 / C(CH3COOH) = 2.4 * 10^-4 / 0.5

C(CH3COOH) = 1.8 * 10^-5 / 2.4 * 10^-4 *0.5

C(CH3COOH) = 0.0375M

0.0375M is needed
