1.magnesium(Mg)
manganese(Mn)
both can react with HNO3 and produce H2

2.calium(Ca)
Iron(Fe)
Zinc(Zn)

3.Silver(Ag)
Gold( Au)
Mercury(Hg)

4.H2 do not evolve when HNO3 react with metal bcoz it is a very powerful oxidising agent and it oxidises the H2 produced and make it H2O

1. Manganese and Magnesium.

2. Zinc, Aluminium, and iron.

3. Copper and Silver.

4. Hydrogen gas is not evolved when a metal reacts with nitric acid. It is because HNO3 is a strong oxidising agent. It oxidises the H2 produced to water and itself gets reduced to any of the nitrogen oxides (N2O, NO, NO2).
