The main reason for unemployment in urban areas is mass migration.
People from rural areas are moving to cities in search of jobs as a result, there is a huge competition for a single job.
People are migrating to cities due to drought condition in their villages.
The city is not able to offer employment to all, thus resulting in the increase of unemployment rate.
This unemployment is also due to Zamindars system that exploited farmers and policies that came into force like free trade has hindered the progress of industrialization.
