co-ordinate of B as ( X2,Y2)
m : n = 3 : 4
m = 3. n = 4
we know formula ,
(x,y) = ( mx2 + nx1/m+n , my2 + ny1/m+n )
(-1,2) = ( 3X2 +4(2)/3+4 , 3Y2+4(5)/3+4 )
(-1,2) = (3X2 + 8/7 , 3Y2+20/7 )
compare both side
so
-1 = (3X2 + 8)/7
(cross multiplication )
-7 = 3X2 + 8
-7 = 3X2 + 8
-7-8 = 3X2
-15 = 3X2
-15/3 = X2
-5 = X2
2 = (3Y2 + 20)/7
(cross multiplication)
14 = 3Y2 + 20
14-20 = 3Y2
-6 = 3Y2
-6/3 = Y2
-2 = Y2
so , the co-ordinate of B point is
