Explanation:

acceleration due to gravity on sea level of earth = 9.8 or 10 [in poles]

we know that

speed = distance/time

so, time = distance/speed

time taken for one drop water from tap to touch the ground (t) = 5m/10m/s

∴ time (t) = 0.5 s

by this we can conclude that in one second 2 drops of water touches the ground

when the third is leaving the tap then 2 drop must be at half of the dist (i.e) 2.50 so that after 0.25 sec it can reaches the ground

  1. 1st drop touches       @   0.5s
  2. 2nd drop touches     @   1.0s
  3. so 3rd drop touches @   1.5s
