(i)area of circle = πr²

so, area of semi circle is = 1/2πr²   [∵semicircle is half of a circle so, in formula add 1/2 also because 1/2 shows half]

r=3cm (given)

area of semicircle=1/2×22/7×(3)²

                             =11/7×9

                             =18.14287 cm²


(ii)3×radius of smaller semicircle = 3×3=9

now , area of semicircle=1/2×22/7×(9)²

                                       =127.285714

* similarly find area of semicircle at C by taking radius = 6cm


(iii)area of shaded region= area of bigger semi circle-area of 2 semi circle

    =127.285714-56.571428-18.14287

                    =88.857

                    =  ≈ 88.86
