Anu took a wire of length 88cm and bent it into
the shape of a circle. Find the radius of that circle.
Also find its area. If the same wire is bent into the
shape of a square, what is the length of each of its
sides?

heya!!

here's ur answer frnd...

given:-

perimeter of square=circumference of Circle

we know that length of the side of square are equal.

perimeter of square=88cm

side×4=88cm

side=88/4

side=22cm

side of the square is 22cm

hence, area of the square=side×side

=22×22

=484cm²

circumference of the circle=88cm

2πr=88cm

2×22/7×r=88cm

44/7×r=88cm

r=88/1×7/44

r=2×7

r=14cm

radius of the circle is 14cm.

hence, area of the circle=πr²

=22/7×14×14

=22×2×14

=44×14

=616cm²

thus, circle encloses more area by=616-484

=132cm²

hope this helps...
