Given the length  of each wire is 1.2m long and the length of all  copper wire is 20.4 m longer than the length of all zinc wires

Number of copper wires be x.

Therefore the number of zinc wires= 38-x

By data  1.2x + 20.4 =(38-x)× 1.2

              2.4x= 25.2

                  x=10.5

Therefore 10 zinc and 28 copper pieces are there.
