any celestial objects going around the sun is considered a planet. then why Pluto has now been dropped from the status of a planet

hwy its not only pluto but there are soo many dwarf planets ( smaller than pluto) which can't be call as planet and are moving round the sun
i guess because they are too dwarf

It is because it is very small in size, about half the size of USA. It also doesn't possess the characteristics of a planet too.
