Explanation:

There is ZERO utility in teaching Sanskrit subject in Indian Schools.

I studied Sanskrit language as a subject from Class 5 to Class 12 for eight years in my life and I found it as a sheer waste of time.

The regular assertion that I get to hear from the proponents of the Sanskrit language is that, it would help our children to understand the Indian culture much better.

I find this argument unreasonable because majority of the students are neither going to read the Hindu religious scriptures nor they will be in a position to understand the meaning of the versus in those texts.

I secured 88/100 in the tenth class final examination conducted by the CBSE and today I am in a position where

1) I cannot understand the meaning of the Sanskrit versus after reading them.

2) I cannot write a sentence in the Sanskrit language.

3) I cannot speak a sentence in the Sanskrit language.

I have met many engineering students from the CBSE background who can neither understand the Sanskrit language nor speak in that language despite learning it for many years at school.

The purpose of education is to teach useful skills to the students. However, it is painful to see a language like Sanskrit which cannot guarantee economic prosperity to the learner is being taught to millions of students every year in the country.
