Quit India movement was the Third major movement launched by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi after the failure of Cripps Mission in India.
It was launched on August 8, 1942 in Mumbai session of Indian National Congress. In this movement he gave call to " Do or Die " Which was his famous slogan at that time.
Many people participated in this movement demanding the British to "Quit" India. Many peasants, artisans came to the streets performing many strikes and Hartals etc.
