The solution used is Aqua regia .


Aqua regia is made from the Latin word this means royal water  .  


Aqua regia is mixture of the hydrochloric acid and nitric acid .


They both are mixed or combined in the ratio 1:3

❇The solution used here is "Aqua-Regia" which is also known as "Royal Water ".  


❇It is a mixture of Concentrated hydrochloric acid and concentrated nitric acid, dissolved in the ratio of 1 : 3.


 ❇It is a highly corrosive fuming fluid which can dissolve gold as well as platinum.
