Well firstly we must know what a mole is.
Mole :
A mole of a substance is that amount of the substance which contains the same number of entities as there are atoms in exactly 12 gram of pure carbon - 12 .
12 gram of carbon -12 is found to contain 6.022 × 10^23 particles.
And this 6.022 × 10^23 is known as Avogadro Constant.
(Avogadro constant is named in honour of a Italian scientist - Amedeo Avogadro)
Mole in Term of Mass :
1 mole of a substance is thequantity of that substance equal to its molecular mass expressed in grams.
1 mole of oxygen molecule = 32 g
(Molecular mass of oxygen = 32 u)
Molar Mass :
Molar mass is the mass in grams of one mole of a substance.
Molar Mass of Carbon dioxide = 44 g/mol
Then ,
How many molecules are present in the specific mass of a substance?
What is Molar Volume :
One mole of any gaseous substance at one atmospheric pressure and 273 Kelvin temperature occupies a volume of 22.4 litres. This is called molar volume.
