Solution :-

Since ,

BE = BD

as we know that the angle opposite to equal side are equal .

So,

|_BED = |_BDE .......( i )

In ∆ BED

|_ ABE is exterior angle !!

So ,

according to exterior angle property that suggest :-

The sum of the interior angle opposite of the exterior angle is equal is equal to opposite exterior angle!!

That is :-

|_ABE = |_BED + |_BDE

84 = |_BDE + |_BDE ( from i )

84 = 2 |_ BDE

42 = |_BDE

Now ,

In ∆BDC

BD = DC ( given )

And as angle opposite to equal side are equal!!

So,

|_DBC = |_DCB

|_DBC = x

and ,

|_BDE is exterior angle

So ,

|_BDE = |_DBC + |_DCB

42 = x + x

42 = 2x

21 = x

So , x = 21
